Guardians of Time

Website

BIO:

Guardians of Time is a Norwegian heavy metal /power metal band formed in 1997. The sound of Guardians of Time is in the genre of Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche and Gamma Ray.The band will soon release their 3rd album, entitled “A Beautiful Atrocity” and will be distributed worldwide during March 2011.

Guardians Of Time is seen as one of the leading bands in melodic power metal in Norway. The members hold high musical quality, with experience from other bands souch as Trail of Tears and Nobodies. Their live preformance are known as powerfull and energetic, and they manage to engage their audience from start to finish.

As the only Norwegian band, Guardians of Time recently had the honour to play the first ever ProgPower festival held in Russia. As always, their fans had a great time!

This new album is a bit different than the last one,”Machines Of Mental Design”, which makes the live set list more varied, and the mix of old and new material will satisfy any fan of melodic metal out there. “A Beautiful Atrocity” is more varied and modern sounding than it’s predecessor. The catchy songs are even more catchy, the hard aggressive parts are even more so, and the calm parts are dreamy and beautiful. Still, all the trademarks of a great Guardians of Time album is still there; amazing high-pitch vocals, twin guitar solos and great compositions that will never give the listener a boring moment. Imagine a modern version of Judas Priests Painkiller mixed with Helloween, and you have a referance to the new album.

These days the main focus of the band is to do what they are doing best; playing live! “We are eager to finally show the fans our new music!”

The release party for “A Beatiful Atrocity “ will take place in our home town Kristiansand and will be followed by a release tour.

"In the timeless scrolls of the Gatekeeper the records of the Guardians of Time are kept.

The creature Delacroix and her transgression from man to Demigod

is thorougly recorded. Created as a consequence of the Guardian of Future Times actions,

it would be the task of the Guardian of Dream Time to defeat her.

After the destruction of the TriOpticon tower Delacroix escaped through an open

dimesional portal leading to the realm of the Guardians of Time.

This is the story of how Delacroix reappeared in the realm of Dreams enslaving humans

whilst in their sleep. One particularly interresting part of the story is Jeffrey Callahan.

With a mind cought in the twilight between the waking world and the Realm of Dream,

he became Delacroix' link to what humans call "the real world".

This is also the tale of how I, the Gatekeeper, was sacrificed in order to contain this

abomination. Delacriox; what a beautiful atrocity she is."

Let`s give you a ride in the story of this album:

The main character of the story, Marie Delacroix, is the human offspring of the Guardian

of Future Time. Her unknown heritage has made her extremely intelligent and beautiful.

But she craves more. She uses her skills in science to expand her firm TriOpticon into a

multinational company and to build the enourmous TriOpticon tower.

Under the slogan "Welcome to the Future where Everything is Gold", she attracts the

worlds attention. TriOpticon grows and builds a faithful allegiance within its workforce,

who are promised prolonged life and a golden future.

When the TriOpticon employees, who are hooked up to the TriOpticon mainframe, finally

realise that she is using their brains as supercomputers feeding her ever growing

megalomania, they rebel against her and try to break free from her puppet strings. The

riot is defeated by Delacroix, and the incident only causes her to become even more

determined to complete her true quest; to escape death and live forever.

The Guardians of Time decide to intervene and bring this madness to an end. Their

purpose is to terminate Delacroix and her technological developments.

By downloading her consciousness, her soul, to the TriOpticon mainframe, she manage to

transform into an abstract life form at the moment of the destruction of the tower.

And by using the gateway opened by the Guardians of Time, Delacroix flees to another

dimension. She has escaped for now...
